Somali Rights for Women (SR4W) was established on 15^th February 2021 by a group of Somali intellectuals in Baidoa city who after extensive consultative meetings felt the need to set up this organization to advocate and campaign for the rights and well-being of the disadvantaged different groups living in the inter-riverine regions namely Bay, Bakool and Lower Shabelle. The founding members of the Organization are Somalis from different parts of Somalia who are committed to Human right, the rule of law and Democracy.
